John,

I have no problem looking at photos of pilots or aircraft that have been lost in accidents. I think it is a nice way to remember the pilot, restoration crew, ground crew and the aircraft. Do we through away all photos of an airplane or pilot that has been lost and try to erase them from memory? To me that is like scraping an historic aircraft that someone has lots their life in. I have lost a few friends in aviation accidents and while it hurts I take pleasure in seeing the photos of the pilot and aircraft in happier times.

As a side note I do not have photos in the 2004 edition so that is not the reasoning behind my comments. The publisher has chosen to use photos from past calendars and no new material. The 2005 edition will have new material.
