Merry Christmas and new year

Hi everyone I just wanted to say after a very tough year for Warbirds Happy Christmas and may next year be problem free and exciting for all of us.

As I write the worlds biggest Warbird flying - the sole remaining airworthy Shorts Belfast passed majestically past my window out of it's base in Brisbane headed north - probably to Darwin - What a sight - it really is a monster compared to all the smaller aircraft it shares the ramp with. I will get shots I promise. So all is not bad here in Brisbane.

This year 3 Spits commenced their rebuilds to fly here - (Yes Peter A I got the shots you were after and I will send them as well as the Sabre you wanted )

Another Boomerang took to the skies with another making steady progress nearby.

The Beaufort is looking better every day and it can't be all that far off from flying.

At Archerfield various Yak 3 and 9 are looking great, several Stearmans , an Argus , a beech stagerwing etc are all progressing as is the Hunter activity with one flying and more on the way so things are good here in sunny Queensland

Thanks to all the Brits I met when over there in September I had a great time and I will be back in 2004
