Mine are from the Wings Over Houston airshow.

First would be the first time I saw the Heritage Flight with Urschler in the '51 and the A-10. Of course the T-6 Heritage Flight this year in Galveston was pretty magical too as was the Legacy Flight with Howard in the Wildcat and the F-18.

Seeing the Lancaster, Spitfire, and Sea Fury fly immediately after I had just seen the Red Arrows at WOH '94 was breathtaking too.

Third would be the amazingly tight formation of Putt-Putt, Lone Star's Corsair, and Stan Musick in SuSu at one of Lone Star's Fly Days many years ago is hard to beat, especially when they come right over your head while driving on the Galveston causeway.

Finally the best would be the 100 plane fly over at WOH 2000. This had B-29, A-26, 2 B-17s, 6 B-25s, 2 P-51s, P-63, Yak-3, Spitfire, P-47, Wildcat, Sea Fury, Bearcat, TBM, SB2C, many T-6s, many T-34s, two C-47s, Ju-52, C-46, plus many others. I can't even explain the noise.

I know this isn't a formation but prior to that 100 plane fly-over and I had just stood in the middle of the 2 B-17s, the B-29, 6 B-25s, C-46, Ju-52, AT-11, A-26, and the 2 C-47s while they all cranked at the same time. I was in radial heaven. What more could a 17 year old kid at the time ask for.
