Have to say
50th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain Over Buckingham Palace (9/15/90) Eagle Day. Included:
-16 Spitfires and Hurricanes in formation overhead.
-The "Few" before me standing smartly before the queen in their old RAF uniforms.
-The roar of that Lancaster as she droned majestically overhead.
-The crowd sang rule Britainia, Britania rules the air!
-Maggie Thatcher making the queen and the Royals wait for her to arrive in a Jag 40 minutes late.
-Finale--Hurricane and Spit breaking around Buckingham Palace. Spit was real low, I could read his instrument panel! (Tongue in cheek)
It was a magical Day!
