...are still sitting at Deer Valley Airport???
I'd like to offer one to my Dad for Christmas ;-)
Jacques.
Higgins Aviation:
After Thunderbird Aviation (which see) declared bankruptcy in 1996, Higgins Aviation at Deer Valley Airport in Phoenix, Arizona, took over the aircraft owned by the former, including F-8K/L hybrid N19TB and F-8L N37TB. These two aircraft flew in support of research & development programmes for the military and commercial aviation, and made most welcome appearances at airshows in the region. Although both aircraft are still intact and present at Deer Valley Airport, they are no longer airworthy. N19TB was noted flying at the Luke AFB Open House in 1998 but both aircraft were put up for auction not much later. Unfortunately (or not?) they were not sold as no bidder would even match the minimum price. It remains to be seen if at least one of these two will ever take to the skies again...
