I have 2 in the "best" category

First, The Museum of Flight at East Fortune in August. A great, atmospheric place and a bit of a time capsule, but I digress. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
The tour of the restoration hanger was excellent, no rushing, plenty of opportunity to ask questions (of which I did - loads!!) and take photo's. The guide was a volunteer and really willing to engage in (lengthy!!) conversations.
Top marks - 10/10

Second, Old Rhinebeck NY on a dismal day in June. I had driven nearly 200 miles during a break in a business trip to visit and was greeted with atrocious weather, heavy rain, flooding with thunder and lightning thrown in for good measure.
But again I was made to feel very welcome being one of the very few people there that day.
I got talking to one of the guys there for quite a while in the dry of one of the hangers and he allowed me to go over onto the "live" side of the airfield to poke around the hangers over there - again a great place, and I hope this current situation doesn't spoil that.
Top marks again - 10/10

Hmm, can't think of anything in the "worst" category worth mentioning

John
