Hi again all--

Recalling our western trip in 95, I thought I'd tip the hat to another "group" for their hospitality to enthusiasts. This is neither a museum, nor a single group at all. I speak of aerial firefighting operations. We called in at four of these during the 95 trip (three of them completely by chance), and one other one during an east coast trip in 2002; absolutely without exception they were as welcoming as could be, despite the plain fact that they are "at work" and no enthusiast ought to expect the red-carpet treatment in an environment that is not, after all, "public"! Wondered what other WIXers' experiences have been in this vein. For the record, the tanker operations/remote stations we visited were:

Prince Albert SK (SK government CS2F Trackers etc)
Red Deer AB (Air Spray Ltd A-26s etc)
Bemidji MN (H&P P2V-7/OV-10)
Hibbing MN (H&P PB4Y-2)

Fredericton NB (FPL TBM-3s)
