This year proved to have less aviation related activities for me than years previous.

I have the satisfaction of having participated in the WIX exchanges to some extent, and to have corresponded with some of you guys, who are just F****ng cool.

I had the privilege of visiting the P-51 Mustang in Lexington, NC thanks to the kindness of his owner, who opened the airport gate for me, and invited me to come in.

Great disappointment was the North Carolina Aviation Museum in Charlotte, where they closed the gates way before closing time, and treated me like a leper, not even allowing me to take pictures from the fence. I will of course, never go back there.

But, also thanks to Dick Phillips, I managed to visit Wahpeton, Kindred and Fargo, ND and got to meet such nice guys in the persons of the Odegaards and their staff, and to see such magnificent restoration work. Also, thanks to Dick Phillips and his way with words, I managed to visit the Anoka hangar of J. Harker, and see the P-82, and two first timers for me: The L-15 and the L-13, as well as the pristine B-25.

Then, there was that little war-surplus store on I-30, West of Texarkana, you know, the one with the F-111 outside; inside: a little great museum, with many items I had never seen before in my life.

Before year's end, I am planning my annual pilgrimage to the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston.

Not bad, but I am really looking forward to more activities during the upcoming year.

Saludos,

Tulio
