On page 50 of the new Flight Journal "F4U Corsair" special issue there is a picture of an F4U-5N on the ground at Kunsan Air Base. The Bureau Number looks to be "124560", which would be the same plane owned and flown by Raymon Thompson today. Trouble is the history card for 124560 shows that it was attached to VC-3 for the duration of its combat carrer. The plane in the photo is obviously flying as part of the infamous VMF(N)-513 Squadron with their trademark red on black paint scheme.
Am I blind or is this in fact 124560?
