Vengance/PBY/Kingfisher to be put up for sale

I found this on the POF messageboard:

I have been asked to conduct an inventory of three partially disassembled aircraft, 1) Vultee Vengeance (actually about 1.5 aircraft based on a preliminary look) 2) Vought-Silorsky Kingfisher 3) PBY Catalina, non-amphibian, partially restored. These are being stored here in the southwest corner of Western Australia. This inventory is being done in preparation for putting these aircraft up for sale. I am a retired mechanical engineer, private pilot, kit aircraft builder, and I have owned a string of Cessnas for over 35 years, and made many trips to Oshkosh before leaving the US to retire in Australia. Thus I know the ins and outs of airplanes in general, but my specific knowledge of these aircraft is lacking. I am therefore asking for your suggestions and guidance. As a type specialist, what should I look for? Are there particular parts and assemblies that are difficult to re-create and therefore of particular interest? If you were inspecting these aircraft, what would you look for? Can you guide me to other restorers actively working with these aircraft types so I can make further inquiries? Thanks in advance for your assistance. Fred Moreno fredmoreno@bigpond.com P. O. Box 778 Shire of Denmark Western Australia 6333 AUSTRALIA
