Mil Mi-8 Hip would be my guess - wrecks of these must be very common in Afghanistan, as they were used like the Huey in Vietnam. If it was a Hip, the front landing gear would be broken off, the attachment is jsut behind the nose - the bulge on top of the wreckage, which would be on the starboard side if this thing were intact is probably a fuel tank, which were attached to the sides of the fuselage.
