: I hate to say it guys but "the flying tigers"with John Way
: ne stinks rather badly, sorry. also"The 1000 plane raid" re
: ally reeks too.

Ah yes, these two... :-)

From a "props department" viewpoint, Flying Tigers has to take the cake...not only are the flying sequences mainly achieved with dodgy models--but even the "P-40s" seen close-to on the ground are wretched-looking mockups executed at what looks like about 80% scale. And then there's the Capelis XC-12, in a "starring role" no less. 'Nuff said...

The Thousand Plane Raid was, iirc, an attempt by one of the studios to capitalize (lickety split) on the popularity of "B-17 movies" released by a couple other studios beforehand. And of course it showed. (Bit like the release, circa 1979, of the desperately bad Message From Space in North America--this turkey being noteworthy only for having given Mr Lucas the idea for Star Wars).

Anyway, another one I'd have to cite (and rather apropos at the moment, too) would be Airport 79: The Concorde. Nice taxi/takeoff/landing shots of Concordes and Mirage F1s notwithstanding...I remember it as a real stinkbomb too.
