LA BATTAGLIA D'INGHILTERRA is broadcast every so often (according to a website, the lst time was in May) but it is so bad that some of the film dictionaries refuse to list it ... It hasn't been issued in any of the recent war movie VHS series sold over here.

Bud Spencer, the stage name of former Olympic swimmer Carlo Pedersoli, is a great aircraft enthusiast. He actually got his licence more or less at the time that film was shot, but I doubt he is current. He has owned several smaller air taxi/air freight companies; his aircraft are easily spotted because the last three letters in the registration are the same (e.g., I-MAAA, which I think was a Gulfstream G.II). His nephew flew for him and used to hang out at the Rome Aero Club when I got involved with vintage aircraft. He used to play pool with a WW2 cavalry officer, lawyer and DH82 pilot. Then, one day in 1990, he rolled a King Air a bit too low over an airstrip outside Rome.
