Experimental/Exhibition in the US. Same category as a Fouga or T-33. The FAA may not let it go amateur built since it is a jet.

Either way, it all depends on what limitations were negotiated for the aircraft. That will determine where you can actually fly and how long your test program needs to be. The US seems to be much more lenient than anywhere in Europe.
