Dear Doctor,

: 1. (you're wife is probably worried too)
This is unlikely as I've yet to pluck (another poultry reference) up the courage up to tell her.

: 2. Probably irrelevant since most people haven't heard of
: the places anyway ;-)
Most people aren't missing anything, neither can claim to be egg-ceptional (sorry).

: 3. Most certainly. Definately yes on that one, stop reading now and get on the phone will you!!!!
I have been trying but the line is permanantly (h)engaged (that pun is just too bad).

: My prescription is that you go to Duxford, Cosford, Hendon
: or any other place with a minimum of ca 50 warbirds. You
: should visit such places at least ones a week adn spend a
: full day there. In between the visits you should read at l
: east three aviation magazines and two aviation books a wee
: k. Lastly you should build two plastic aeroplane models a
: month (Bf 109G-6 is especially good in these cases). That
: should do the tric - obviously you can't go to work for so
: me time...

Funny you should suggest these visits, as I am planning to go to Cosford on the 23rd November and on the 24th, I will be making a flying (a slight poultry reference) to visit to Duxford and I'm hoping the the weather won't be fowl (!!!)

As for making models, I am in the process of building 4 (2 Spits, 1 Tempest and a Tornado).

My grateful thanks to the good Doctor (your fee is attached to the leg of a homing pidgeon and should be with you soon)!

Tony
