Surely they ought to be considering this, especially as the Allison could be subbed-in for the big heavy AM35 and performance ought to be boosted thereby. And I'm sure the novelty of a prop-driven MiG would pique the interest of more than one deep-pocketed enthusiast. (It piques mine...but my pockets are notable for their shallowness...)
Say now: I always thought the early MiGs looked rather more like racers than fighters. Hmm. How would a MiG-3 with a late-series Allison up front do at Reno, I wonder...!
