Mojave is an active civilian flight test airport. As I recall, that is where the ramp sequences for Hot Shots! was filmed.

As I recall, Dave Tallichet had a bunch of Indian Ajeets that were used for the ground shots. I don't think that any of those flew. The T-38's probably belonged to Chuck Thornton. His T-38 was used in the movie Dragnet as well.

I remember seeing the A-300 at Mojave, and Flight Systems (now part of BAE) at Mojave had F-100's and F-4's at that time (they still might).
