My source says says.
'Rhubarb, Crashed on French coast after attack by Me109 of II/JG51. Buried at Dunkirk, France'.
This was the only officialy recorded Spitfire loss that day. As the 'gunners' have undisputedly made their claim for 9th April 1942, having painted it on their gun in the photo, I think we must assume this was a dual claim in he heat of the battle.
