: According to my information D-FWUB is indeed an airworthy wooden replica FW190A-4 being built in Trossingen and which is to be powered by an engine coming from a DC-3.
Another question regarding a FW190. According to my information an unknown F-8 (White D) was recovered by Jim Pearce and should consist of part of a fuselage, wings and landing gear. The aircraft should be under rebuild In Dursley. Anyone got any further information on the status of this aircraft?
Greetings,
Harm-Jan Strating
Harm-Jan Strating gave the following destinations for the
: 12 new-built 190's are as follows:
:
: WNr.990001 D-FWWC Flug Werk demonstration machine
: WNr.990002 D-FWCK German client
: WNr.990003-990008 Destined for client in the USA
: WNr.990009 Destined for an Australian client
: WNr.990010 Destined for a client in the USA
: WNr.990011 Destined for the TAM Museum, Brasil
: WNr.990012 Still available
:
: One extra airframe was constructed, WNr. 990000. This airc
: raft was built as a non-flying exhibit for the museum at L
: aatzen-Hannover in Germany.
:
: But the reason for my query, is that I did a search on a G
: erman registrations Database and came up with this list:
:
:
: Reg'n Aircraft Type Con-No R-Date Current Fate History
: D-FWWC Colling Focke-Wulf FW.190A-8 990001 ... - D-
: FWWC
: D-FWCK Flug Werke FW.190A-8/N 990002 ... - D-FWCK
:
:
: D-FWUB Focke-Wulf FW.190 1876
:
: My first question is what is D-FWUB Focke-Wulf FW.190 1
: 876 ?? I cannot find a C/N of this number listed om Mikae
: ls site. Also it does not appear to be a replica/scale ver
: sion..
:
: Secondly, Aeroplane Monthly quotes the following in its r
: egistration section this month
:
: "under construction in Germany... Flug Werk Focke-Wulf FW
: 190A-4 replica at Trossingen which will be powered by a DC
: -3 engine"
:
: Unfortulately the article does not give a German registrat
: ion ID.. I also wonder in the FW-190A-4 is a misprint for
: FW-190A-8??
:
: Also I thought these babies were flying with Russian engin
: es! and is Trossingen near Gammeldorf where Flug Werk are
: based??
