Hopefully you don't mean that last bit! That's the easiest of mistakes to make, since both the V-173 and the F5U were called Flying Flapjacks.
It's most unfortunate that the F5U was broken-up without ever being flown. It could have proved revolutionary in tactical aircraft design. And...I have often wondered how an F5U would have done at Reno...!
(BTW you're right about the airframe resisting the initial efforts to scrap it...They tried dropping a wrecking ball on it from a crane, the ball hit one of the spars and bounced off! Or so I'm told.)
