: I think they are in process or have acquired a DH Caribou
: or Buffalo also?

This was discussed on WIX a while ago. I think Eric Dumigan provided the info...

Model: deHavilland Canada DHC-5D Buffalo
C/N: 85
Owner: Canadian Warplane Heritage
Notes: Aircraft sent to Lockheed-Martin, Greenville, South Carolina for a major refit at some point in the 1980's. Refit never carried out, and aircraft remained at the field until 2002, when it was purchased by DAC aviation of Quebec for spare parts. It is planned to paint the static restored aircraft as CAF 115461 in UN colours. The original 115461 is s/n CC-115 c/n 15 when operated by United Nations w/o jun00 w/o 09aug74, piece of fuselage at Ottawa. This bird was shot downby Syrian SAMS in 1974. This is part of a batch of 4 build for the Sudanese Air Force in 1978.

The last I heard was that it was on site at the CWH, but stored outside disassembled.

Regards,

Mike
