Most of the engine parts came from many different groups who lost out when the idiots decided to try to take off.
If they had the year before when they were doing the high speed test just kept going to Tulue when the plane came airborn then we would'nt have lost the plane. In the NOVA special about Kee-Bird. That subject was discussed, also it talks about the various items that were borrowed.
I believe the USAF put a stop to the recovery project for the parts because of legal problems.
