Didn't Otis Spunkmeyer operate a C-47 somewhere in the San Francisco Bay area? There are also a couple of Charlies being used for mosquito control in Florida (I saw one of them in Hondo, Texas a couple of years back).
Then there is the C-47 at the North Dakota Aviation Museum in Fargo. In Central America, the use of these workhorses has been steadily diminishing, due to the speed-operational costs when compared with turbo-props, but there are still some aircraft being flown on irregular non-sched cargo flights.
