Hello Bruce,

As promised here is the additional information about the Mossie:

5/6th June 1944, intrudermission to Leeuwarden airfield.

Mosquito VI, NT122, 605 squadron

F/Lt A. Whitton-Brown, pilot
F/Lt V.G. Brewis, navigator

Both are buried at Hoorn general cemetery.

Any information about this particular aircraft would be welcomed.

Furthermore,

We are also working on the investigation of a British twin-engined fighter which crashed in the general area of Enkhuizen in the second half of 1944. An eye-witness saw a crewmember bale out but the chute didn't open and he fell in a meadow. It turned out he was Polish but a name is not known and.

Could it be a 307 Sqn Mossie Mk XII, serial HK223 which was missing after a mission over Holland on 17/18 September 1944.

The crew were P/O K.E.F. Jaworski
P/O Z. Szymillewicsz

We have an eye-witness who can pont out the general area where the aircraft fell, but the investigation will have to wait for now (see the above)

Any information would be appreciated.

Cheers

Cees
