Sounds like about $600-$700 truck freight. My wife can get you a quote if you like (with her company discount). I'll need the zip codes on both ends, size (16' x 5' x 2'?), and weight. It's more expensive residential to residential as well.

If it is shipped loose it will have to be strapped down flat. I wouldn't ship an NOS wing this way, but if it needs repair anyhow, a few scratches or small dings shouldn't be a problem. Nails sticking out of the flatbed and a little fretting would probably be the worst of it.

Inside of a box van might subject it to shifting cargo, so I doubt that would be any safer. Any way you look at it you are going truck freight.

As I recall there are also some trucker's forums on the web. You might want to do a little surfing to see if you can find anyone passing through those points on the map.
