Another excellant point. Idustries are having a harder time these days just finding skilled trades workers. Often young adults planning their careers in high school opt for the university education, rather than a trade school enducation. Of course there may be many reasons for this deficit, but in the end if you have fewer and fewer technicians, mill-wrights, mechanics, and metal bashers in general, we are going to loose the skills to restore the aircraft.
How many people are out there right now volunteering to restore and aircraft with skills they picked up in the military that would be around in 10+ years? My hat goes off too them. At the same time I worry about the skills they are taking with them.

Mike
