Wow, that's interesting. When would these pix have been taken? The museum at Dunnville would value this info/these pix, no doubt. Dunnville reopened as a light-aviation airport a couple years ago after decades as a turkey farm; it was the wartime 6 SFTS and a museum now occupies one bay of one of the hangars.
The field was still an RCAF station in the early sixties, used for storage (like Mountain View today), and several ex-maritime patrol/SAR Lancasters were indeed stored and, sadly, scrapped there. The reference to Spartan is a bit of a surprise though...perhaps Crown Assets had sold these ones to Spartan who then did not use them? In any event this is a fascinating bit of info.
