I talked to the head of the Halfix restoration team many years ago, and they were interested in tackling a Lancaster once the Halifax was done. They have the equipment. facilities and a trained team, so why not? The aircraft that was discussed as a possibility was the one in Edmondston, New Brunswick -- quite a moving job, but not beyond the realm of possibility. Another possible subsequent project for the Trenton team (according to the current curator of the museum) is a basket case Anson which they have "somewhere in Manitoba".

FM 104 went to the TAM largely because of their ability to house the aircraft indoors. The museum at CFB Comox was the other major contender, but lost out because it didn't have indoor display facilities. If FM 104 ever became 'available' for any reason, I would expect Trenton to be a contender if they can arrange indoor display for the aircraft.
