Well right of the bat I reccomend the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum located at the Hamilton Airport about an hour from Toronto depending on Traffic. As well there is the Toronto Aerospace Museum located in Downtown Toronto at the old Downsview Airport. I understand at the Oshawa Airport there is a small museum as well I believe at the Brampton Airport NW of Toronto there is a museum dedicated to WW1 Aircraft. Of course down the road to Trenton 2hours east of Toronto you will find the RCAF Museum located at CFB Trenton where they are restoring a Halifax Bomber. Then in Ottawa we have the National Aviation Museum that would be I beleive a 5-6hour trip. Very soon there should be a Spitfire and Harvard in Welland Ontario South of Toronto and I believe the owner wants to start an aviation Museum. Then if you head west to Windsor Ontario 4-5hours west you will find a Lancaster society as well as a group of people restoring a Mossiquito. Hopefully this helps. Oh by the way if you come all the way to the West coast to Vancouver Island we can show you a Spitfire restoration Project.
