Tony--
My pet peeve crops up again...
: IIRC wasn't this airframe either swopped with or provided
: parts for the example at Hendon?
I understand that, after RD867 was displayed at the RAF Jubilee at Abingdon in '68, the engines/cowls/props went into the RD253 project now shown at Hendon.
: Is it still stored outside and if so, what are the plans f
: or her.
In May 03 she was still parked outside, still minus engines, props and cowls (which CAvM has never succeeded in obtaining), and also some control surfaces (which are apparently stored indoors at CAvM though I have not seen them). Funding came through recently for construction of a new storage building/hangar at Rockcliffe, so the Beau will finally have a roof over her head in a couple years' time...
