Ex-WWII Pilots ditch in the English Channel

Dear all,

I'm surprised that no one has picked up on this story.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/cornwall/3163840.stm

Apparently three WWI pilots (One an ex fleet air arm pilot) ditched into the sea at the weekend.

I was reminded of it because one of them was interviewed on breakfast t.V this morning. He was very dismissive about the whole experience and put down the usual pathetic questions from the journalist interviewers about being old etc really well.... He reckons that his wartime training all came back to him and it was a text-book ditching.

Good on the old boy I say. I think that if I had to do a ditching I'd rather do it with an experienced fleet air arm pilot even if he were 80 year old.

Paul.
