Dear Al & Oliver:
I had an email about two weeks from Bob himself. I had been speaking with Jack Meadows the week prior concerning the progress of the Mossie and TZ138.
I am not sure if Bob has had TZ138 up since Bruce Lockwood delivered it. I told Bob that I have a detailed article in the works and sent him some information on the history of the three RCAF WEE Flight Spitfires.
The first owner of TZ138, former Dambuster pilot, Ken Brown passed away last Christmas and I did have the chance to speak with him before he died. Finding more information as the weeks go by. Imperial Oil in Toronto might finally yield some information concerning the sponsorship the gave Ken and the crew so they could enter the Cleveland races in Sept 1949.
Working on the manuscript this fall and hope to have something off to AEROPLANE and/or FLYPAST. This is if I stop finding new leads on information that has me off running in other directions!
