Perhaps I can clear a little confusion here but I do not have the full story.
The Bill Anderson Spitfire is TD135 a low back Mk XVI that was acquired from Ray Stutsman in May 1985. Whilst at Geneseo it has been converted to high back fuselage configuration. In past years, for personal reasons, Bill Anderson has wanted to keep this project low key. In relatively recent times it appears to have gone into storage and possibly lost its wings. I suspect there has been a seperation of partnership or similar as the wings have been offered on the open market. You can read into that what you will as the wings do not seem to have 'surfaced'.
Th Matt Sattler Spitfire fuselage TD314 is an ex SAAF high back Mk IX and was shipped from Carp to the UK in 1994 for reconstruction. This fuselage work has been completed but, to my best knowledge, it still resides at the restorer's shop in the UK. There has been suggestions that the fuselage might be converted to Mk V specification to take the short Merlin.
