Well Damn.......I am very sad to hear this. I was just at Flabob for the 50th Anniversary of the EAA Chapter One, their new hangar is on the spot of Bill's old hangar. It felt strange to stand in that spot, and not be looking at some replica of a 1930's airplane, as I had done many times. Bill always made time for me and let me take photos and gave info. What a fantastic man. He will be deeply missed.
