Relatives visiting from Tillsonburg brought along a news paper clipping from this past summer indicating that the NRC Harvard has been repainted. I hadn't heard about it, so I thought many of you have not either. Here is a quote from The Tillsonburg Independent News...
"This is a 1951 Harvard 4 owned by the Government of Canada, National Research Council in Ottawa. The plane arrived at Tillsonburg Airport in early May and left June 19, after being painted by Spectrum Aviation Paint & Interior. This Harvard is one of a fleet consisting of a Twin Otter, Convair 580, Falcon 20 and 3 Bell Ranger Helicopters."
The Harvard they are referring to is...
Model: North American-CCF Mk IV Harvard
S/N: 20210 RCAF
C/N: CCF4-1
C/R: C-FPTP
Owner: National Research Council
History: Harvard Mk IV 20210 RCAF TOS (1951/11/2), SOS (1964/2/12), CF-PTP, C-FPTP
It appears from the black and white pictures that the colour scheme was updated to match the sceme worn by the other aircraft. It looks to be the same as the c/s worn by the Twin Otter and the Huey that attended Flight Fest last month. The NRC aircraft rarely make public appearances, but hopefully we will get a chance to see it during next year's shows.

Mike
