I?d like to see you tell the guys at Hawker Restorations that the Hurricane is one of the easiest warbirds to restore?

During its production run it was said to be quicker than the Spitfire, but now it is definitely the other way around. The techniques used in restoring the Hurricane are rare these days. Then you have to source the parts. In this months Aeroplane Monthly, there is an article on Aero Vintage and it talks about the machine they use for making the new spars etc for the hawker aircraft.

I?d say the Spitfire uses techniques that are closer to today?s methods, therefore making it an easier aircraft to restore.

Philip.
