Originally for RAF, this went to Australia, for training duties (She was involved in a collison with Anson A4-30 on 25-May-43 at Bundaberg)
Then she was civilianised as VH-BBY and then sold to Indonesia. According to my sources this 'crashed on delivery of Malaya 14.12.47' and was possibly intended to be serialed RI-001 for The Indonesian Air Force (i.e there first aircraft) so yes very historic to them..
This was built Avro Manchester, Avro never gave a c/ns to RAF military aircraft (only civil and miltary export) but thye may find a mainframe number like CML/R3/LW111??? on her somewhere.
If anyone can read Indonesian...
