Hardwick was a guy who raced a P-38 and P-51C in Cleveland. Crashed the 51 in 47. Later dealed in vintage aircrft, and had some planes stored at Brackett Field, CA. I think he also had a lot in El Monte where he kept much of his stuff for years. Apparently though and shrewd to deal with! I believe he died sometime in the 1980's.
