Gregory - IIRC the Ammerican Air Museum / Duxford TBM is an ex-Canadian Fire/Budworm Bomber which was obtained directly from the final operators with a damanged wing. Restoration and re-militarisation took place at Dx
You're right about the P40 though - it didn't seem to stay in the public eye for very long!
