I watched the CNE show on Sunday from Ontario Place. I thought it was much better than the past few years. Good variety old and new. The Fokker Universal was great and the Spitfire brought back memories of Jerry Billings routines over the lake. The Spit did a solo act and than flew with the Lanc but not in formation. It flew top cover and chased the Lanc around. The Heritage Flight with Jim Beasley was also very nice. It was good to see the Great war Flying Museum, CWH and the Harvard Association flying at the same airshow. I commend the CNE for hiring so many local Canadian acts. It was also nice to see the Nimrod back and flying a spirited display, great climb-out and turns. Reminded me of the old Vulcan displays over the Lake.

Monday I was at the International Airport to get the jets arriving and departing. A special surprise that we got wind of was a photo shoot with the Snowbirds and both CF-18 demos. The East Coast CF-18 flew in from Montreal yesterday. After the Birds landed we raced to the south end but got stuck at a red light and missed the two CF-18s in formation. They made two passes before breaking up and landing sepertaly. The landing we got but we missed the two in formation ;-( There was no less than 4 CF-18s on the field.

Great show but poor lighting, I will have photos posted soon.
