Glad to know the B-17 survived the accident without being sent to the smelters. I never knew that was an actual B-17 crash landing caught on film during the production.

Along those same lines, I always wondered whether there were any cameras rolling when the B-17 was lost in the UK during the filming of Memphis Belle.
