Busy working on getting the history of this Spitfire down on paper. I would love to find any information on X4555 stint with No. 92 Sqd at Biggin Hill during the BoB.
I would love to know how I could find the Operations Diaries for No 92 Sqd from Oct 28th to Nov 2nd, 1940. Apparently X4555 was shot up pretty good and the pilot managed to get down okay - with a few bullets here and there. Would love to find out the pilots names, codes, any kills etc. Does anyone have any clues on how I would go about finding copies of these records at the PRC in London?
In Ottawa at the National Archives of Canada, most RCAF Sqd Operational Record Books [ORBs] are held on Microfilm and a breeze to copy if need be. Any idea if the PRC follows suit?
Many thanks,
Lee
