It's still there, or parts of it anyways, the wing was cut leading edge to trailing edge(chainsaw most likely) into no more that 7 or 8 parts. He has them lying on the ground in order. the fuselage is not complete, he has tin or some sort of metal attached to the actual pieces of the fuse to give the impression of a more complete fuse. I took particular interest in the FG-1D sitting there as it is complete. It was down at a nearby airport for a mag issue, they replaced the mags in question and it still didn't fly right. From what I was told, the corsair was just left there at an airport nearby until Walter snatched it up. It's wings are folded and he has corragated tin up over the wing tips. You can still read Akron on the side of the fuse, as of winter 2002. Ah the day dreams....
But the B-36 is just a few big pieces.
: Wasnt there at one time major components of a B-36 in his
: yard also?
