Also signed and sent(#2218 on the list).The Tanker Base Manager at Alamagordo,N.M. where I flew B-17 Tankers 68 and 22 in 1980 and 1983 respectively was Marshal Glisson.He had been a tail gunner on B-24's in North Africa and Italy during WW II,and later flew as flight engineer on B-29's,KB-29's,KB-50s,B-36's.C-124's,C-133's and C-141's.Marshal was a marvelous story-teller and I spent many hours listening to his experiences.He is sorely missed by many.I have always been awed by the B-36 and it would be a crime to let another go to the smelter.
