What happened was that I checked my calendar for the date on the Saturday. Being still half asleep this morning (caffeine hadn't hit the system at that point), I typed the date that was noted there 9 August 1945, the day the first atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. I forgot the significance of that date.
