Went out to Willow Run after work today to see what's up. Got there just in time to see Jack Roush show up in his 'new' P-51 rebuild (registered NL51CY for Chuck Yeager). I was with Mint Moore headed to the South side of the airport (were the POF fighters have been hangered since Dayton) and we had the best seat in the house as he beat up the place pretty good on arrival. Dave Tinker's TBM is there, but is currently grounded with a broken hydraulic pump! We may be grounded this weekend, but the pump is on order (it may arrive tomorrow) and I took the bad one out today. If it shows up tomorrow we should be flying by Saturday (fingers crossed). The MATS Connie is there, along with the B-17s 'Yankee Lady' (of course), 'Sentimental Journey' and Tallichet's 'Memphis Belle.' The YAF B-25 is off getting some radio work done (as Paul had mentioned earlier), and the C-47 will be going to the Wurtsmuth Division's open house in Oscoda, MI. Rob Lock showed up in the 'Waldo Wright' New Standard D-25, and will again be selling rides. Mike Schloss' AD-4 and Jimmy Leward's P-51 were in a hanger on the south side as well. Most of the other aircraft will be showing up tomorrow throughout the day. Hope to see you there! I'll be out wrenching on the TBM and taking photos when able. Jim
