This Mk V thing has been 'bobbing' about for a few years. This is where the provenance thing gets heavy and people like myself are not so welcome. To convert a Mk IX to Mk V standard in reality, in this case, does not amount to much more than changing the engine bearer pickup forgings in the datum longeron and on the lower fuselage spar. There would not be too much point in re-engineering the 'beefed up' local areas introduced during the production run of the IX fuselage.
