For me R5869, simply for being the first Lancaster that I ever saw back in 1972 (I think) and struck the match that started the flame for my passion for all things to do with Bomber Command. Admittedly it would be a few years before I realised that I would have preferred to be a Bomber Baron, rather that a Fighter Jock........but at least I got there in the end.
NX611 for the effort that the Panton Brothers have put into her to make her live and just as equally for the memorial that is East Kirkby.
As has been mentioned before, if you have never been to East Kirkby, make this year the year that you do go, you will not be disappointed.
KB889 as this is the Lancaster that I see most often.
I do not mean to belittle all the other Lancaster airframes from around the world, as each will mean something to those in the countries that they reside in and if I had regular access to them, I dare that they would have been mentioned on my list.
