Hi Cees,
Last I heard about it, it was in a warehouse in Ireland and for sale, but for a ridiculous ammount of money. I think the price was in the US $3,000,000 area. It's probably safe enough if they think it's worth that much but it's also probably beginning to deteriorate by now. Apparently it had had it's fuselage cut to facilitate moving it as well but I don't know for sure. I had heard something that the USNAM was trying to bag it, but I haven't heard anything that way in a long time either. The pictures that Paul Coggan had of it in WW showed that when it was raised it had an engine, prop and cowling, but apparently all that stuff got lobbed back in the lake after it was recovered - if you can believe it! Let me know if you hear anything else. I'll look for it at Oshkosh next week! :-)
