North Korea

I've heard several people talk about North Korea, and that they want to extract warbird from that country.
My question is: how accessible is North Korea, and because it is a low tech country don't they just used our so called "warbirds" still in frontline duties. I do know that the first wave of fighter that is supposed to hit Seoul are MiG 17 before the waves of MiG 21 coming.
Or are you refering to yak-9 and il-2/10 which fought during the Korean war, arent these melted because of lack of own minerals in the country??
